Happy June Rudolph Day

Well, it's June Rudolph Day and I'm away on vacation...hopefully I will be able to pick up a couple gifts and some stocking stuffers while on vacation. I also took along my Christmas Notebook and a couple cookbooks to browse through while relaxing (family rolls eyes). So I plan to have some of those lists for baking and menu planning at least STARTED...LOL.

I hope all of you are having a FUN and productive Rudolph Day this month...NEXT month is a BIGGIE...Christmas in July...I'll update when I get home and let you know the progress I've made!!

June Rudolph Day Plans

Since we will be on vacation for the actual June Rudolph Day I am planning to do some Ruddy Day stuff everyday between now and the end of the month. While on vacation I can look for stocking stuffers and gifts since those are on my June list. I am also taking my Christmas Notebook with me so I can work on it a bit as well.

Other June Items:

Decor: Definately a must. I plan on working on sorting some items by room and cutting down a bit on items. So fine tuning my decorating even if it means EVERY item doesn't get used EVERY year! This is a hard one for me because I love it all!!!

List Making: Getting those master lists made is very important because with the economy the way it is I plan on starting as early as August buying ingredients that will keep.

With the year flying by I am starting to feel the pressure to GET something done each month. So wish me luck!!

Rudolph Day Notes

Well May has come and gone and I am yet to update my Rudolph Day list. I had big plans and high hopes for May ....ummm...perhaps a bit too high. I did get some gifts bought...Hooray!

And I did at least think about my baking, candy, and menu planning ....BUT alas no decisions were really made. So I will work on them now! Whether it is Rudolph Day or not. I will need menus for the following:

Friendship Gratitude Brunch
Christmas Tea (ornament exchange)
Christmas Party (theme TBA)
Christmas Eve
Christmas Breakfast

My goal for baking is five types of cookies and two candies. I plan on experimenting a bit with cookies over the summer unless heat prevents it...to see which ones actually freeze well. I have never had good luck with freezing but I wonder if it is because I end up freezing left overs rather than the fresh batch of cookies.
